Around the world in one weekend

With a culi­nary “Eat-​the-​World-​Tour” in the heart of Thuringia, 21 col­leagues could con­vince them­selves of the most diverse del­i­ca­cies and at the same time learn more about the his­tory of Erfurt.

From Novem­ber 11 to 13, one of the pop­u­lar IPD events took place again. Once again, there was a lot to expe­ri­ence. The par­tic­i­pants arrived in Erfurt on Fri­day by beau­ti­ful weather and could start the week­end with a deli­cious din­ner and lively con­ver­sa­tions in the restau­rant “Zum alten Schwan”.

The next day, after break­fast, free explo­ration of the city was the first thing on the agenda. From the his­toric Krämer­brücke to Erfurt’s old town and Erfurt Cathe­dral, the col­leagues were able to get a good impres­sion of Thuringia’s largest city.

In the early after­noon, the par­tic­i­pants then explored the culi­nary diver­sity of the city with the “Eat-​the-​World-​Tour”. The three-​hour city tour brought par­tic­i­pants to six dif­fer­ent eater­ies where they could taste all kinds of dif­fer­ent del­i­ca­cies. The offer­ings ranged from local spe­cial­ties to Syr­ian and Korean food. At the same time, the par­tic­i­pants were immersed in the his­tory and cul­ture of the city with the help of the tour guide.

After two event­ful days, the col­leagues started their jour­ney home happy and well-​fed.
