Your stud­ies will qual­ify you to occupy a key posi­tion at the inter­face between busi­ness man­age­ment processes and IT sys­tems.

For exam­ple, you will align IT sys­tems to the company’s require­ments, design tailor-​made soft­ware solu­tions or, as head of an IT depart­ment, be respon­si­ble for the con­trol of the IT resources and the admin­is­tra­tion of the asso­ci­ated accounts.

You have a struc­tured course of stud­ies, which is deter­mined by a block-​by-​block alter­na­tion between lec­tures at the uni­ver­sity of applied sci­ences and prac­ti­cal work in the com­pany. The lec­ture phase usu­ally lasts four­teen to six­teen weeks. This is fol­lowed by a prac­ti­cal block of eight to ten weeks in the com­pany.

Dur­ing your stud­ies, you will encounter job-​specific learn­ing fields such as pro­gram­ming, data­bases & algo­rithms and data struc­tures, IT management/​control, life cycles of IT sys­tems, applied data sci­ence & machine learn­ing or busi­ness processes with ERP sys­tems.

On the one hand, you will learn how infor­ma­tion sys­tems are used com­pre­hen­sively in com­pa­nies, on the other how IT-​supported busi­ness processes are viewed holis­ti­cally and how exter­nal risk fac­tors are taken into account. You will deepen your gen­eral basic knowl­edge in sub­jects such as busi­ness admin­is­tra­tion, eco­nom­ics, account­ing and finance. Start­ing in the third semes­ter, you will choose between IT (soft­ware design) and eco­nom­ics (finan­cial account­ing & audit­ing). In the 6^th semes­ter there will be a prac­ti­cal project phase.

• You use your tech­ni­cal and busi­ness knowl­edge to develop cus­tomized com­mu­ni­ca­tion solu­tions for our cus­tomers
• You advise our cus­tomers on the use of mod­ern com­mu­ni­ca­tion chan­nels, such as chat­bots or social media
• You will sup­port project man­age­ment and eval­u­a­tion in excit­ing cus­tomer projects. For this pur­pose, you will ana­lyze and process var­i­ous data from our projects
• You ana­lyze the busi­ness processes of our cus­tomers and develop a con­cept for their opti­miza­tion. To do this, you use AI, machine learn­ing and data min­ing tools
• You develop meth­ods and pro­ce­dure descrip­tions and par­tic­i­pate in inter­nal process improve­ments and opti­miza­tions

• You take part in the joint onboard­ing week with all appren­tices and stu­dents
• You can par­tic­i­pate in any of the many IPD sports events
• You help deter­mine in which depart­ment you would like to work in the next prac­ti­cal phase
• You can take on a lot of respon­si­bil­ity
• You work with the lat­est tech­nol­ogy at a mod­ern equipped work­place
• You work in highly spe­cial­ized expert teams
