As a forward-thinking IT company, IP Dynamics recognizes the dangers posed by climate change. Much more, the company understands that everyone must do their part to stop the dangers and live up to their responsibility to the planet and future generations. IP Dynamics meets this responsibility in the form of a comprehensive sustainability concept. With optimizations, alternatives and savings, the company aims to make a contribution in minimizing CO² emissions and making everyday work more sustainable.
In the first step, the following measures will therefore be implemented:
1. Optimized data centers
Thanks to technical colleagues, IP Dynamics was able to significantly reduce the power consumption of its data centers. In just two weeks, the servers were compacted and reconfigured in such a way that electricity savings of 22% were achieved. This is equivalent to the typical consumption of three single-family homes with three people in each. IPD plans to continue to identify further optimization measures in the future and implement them in a timely manner.
2. E-mobility
Cars naturally play a major role in saving CO². The car fleet is gradually being converted to electric vehicles and made available to employees as company cars and for business trips.
3. Renewable energies
In addition to energy savings, it is important that the used electricity is sustainable. That’s why IP Dynamics will be using sustainable green electricity at all of its offices in the future.
4. Eco-friendly business trips
IPD sees another opportunity to save CO² in the travel behavior of its employees. For this reason, business trips within the DACH region will no longer be made by plane, but preferably by train or – if necessary – by car.
5. Digital instead of paper
Many contracts and invoices are generated in the course of everyday work. To save paper and thus counteract deforestation, employees digitize all this information and process it there. The company relies on solutions such as Konfuzio for support.
6. Virtual Christmas greetings
Last year, IP Dynamics decided to abandon the traditional Christmas card and conventional gifts to customers and partners and sent virtual Christmas greetings instead. In addition, the money saved in this way (and more) was donated to the association Mandelzweig Projekthilfe eV to support the construction and equipment of a tea guesthouse. From there, projects promoting human rights, fair trade and intercultural communication are initiated and coordinated. IPD will continue to choose this path in the future.
7. Sustainable Give Aways
Giveaways are mass-produced goods. Quickly pocketed at an event, they often end up in the trash again a short time later. In addition, many “goodies” are made of plastic or other environmentally harmful materials. This is exactly where IP Dynamics comes in. The new giveaways are designed to create real added value by giving away durable and reusable items such as multi-use drinking cups or jute bags. On the other hand, these should be made of sustainable materials so as not to pollute the environment unnecessarily.
8. Sustainable benefits
Employee benefits are also becoming ecological. With a public transport subsidy and the possibility to lease a business bike at favorable conditions, IPD offers attractive alternatives to the car.
IP Dynamics is constantly working on developing new concepts and becoming more sustainable in order to create a perspective for the future together.
