Effectively supporting climate protection

As a forward-​thinking IT com­pany, IP Dynam­ics rec­og­nizes the dan­gers posed by cli­mate change. Much more, the com­pany under­stands that every­one must do their part to stop the dan­gers and live up to their respon­si­bil­ity to the planet and future gen­er­a­tions. IP Dynam­ics meets this respon­si­bil­ity in the form of a com­pre­hen­sive sus­tain­abil­ity con­cept. With opti­miza­tions, alter­na­tives and sav­ings, the com­pany aims to make a con­tri­bu­tion in min­i­miz­ing CO² emis­sions and mak­ing every­day work more sus­tain­able.

In the first step, the fol­low­ing mea­sures will there­fore be imple­mented:

1. Opti­mized data cen­ters
Thanks to tech­ni­cal col­leagues, IP Dynam­ics was able to sig­nif­i­cantly reduce the power con­sump­tion of its data cen­ters. In just two weeks, the servers were com­pacted and recon­fig­ured in such a way that elec­tric­ity sav­ings of 22% were achieved. This is equiv­a­lent to the typ­i­cal con­sump­tion of three single-​family homes with three peo­ple in each. IPD plans to con­tinue to iden­tify fur­ther opti­miza­tion mea­sures in the future and imple­ment them in a timely man­ner.

2. E-​mobility
Cars nat­u­rally play a major role in sav­ing CO². The car fleet is grad­u­ally being con­verted to elec­tric vehi­cles and made avail­able to employ­ees as com­pany cars and for busi­ness trips.

3. Renew­able ener­gies
In addi­tion to energy sav­ings, it is impor­tant that the used elec­tric­ity is sus­tain­able. That’s why IP Dynam­ics will be using sus­tain­able green elec­tric­ity at all of its offices in the future.

4. Eco-​friendly busi­ness trips
IPD sees another oppor­tu­nity to save CO² in the travel behav­ior of its employ­ees. For this rea­son, busi­ness trips within the DACH region will no longer be made by plane, but prefer­ably by train or – if nec­es­sary – by car.

5. Dig­i­tal instead of paper
Many con­tracts and invoices are gen­er­ated in the course of every­day work. To save paper and thus coun­ter­act defor­esta­tion, employ­ees dig­i­tize all this infor­ma­tion and process it there. The com­pany relies on solu­tions such as Kon­fuzio for sup­port.

6. Vir­tual Christ­mas greet­ings
Last year, IP Dynam­ics decided to aban­don the tra­di­tional Christ­mas card and con­ven­tional gifts to cus­tomers and part­ners and sent vir­tual Christ­mas greet­ings instead. In addi­tion, the money saved in this way (and more) was donated to the asso­ci­a­tion Man­delzweig Pro­jek­thilfe eV to sup­port the con­struc­tion and equip­ment of a tea guest­house. From there, projects pro­mot­ing human rights, fair trade and inter­cul­tural com­mu­ni­ca­tion are ini­ti­ated and coor­di­nated. IPD will con­tinue to choose this path in the future.

7. Sus­tain­able Give Aways
Give­aways are mass-​produced goods. Quickly pock­eted at an event, they often end up in the trash again a short time later. In addi­tion, many “good­ies” are made of plas­tic or other envi­ron­men­tally harm­ful mate­ri­als. This is exactly where IP Dynam­ics comes in. The new give­aways are designed to cre­ate real added value by giv­ing away durable and reusable items such as multi-​use drink­ing cups or jute bags. On the other hand, these should be made of sus­tain­able mate­ri­als so as not to pol­lute the envi­ron­ment unnec­es­sar­ily.

8. Sus­tain­able ben­e­fits
Employee ben­e­fits are also becom­ing eco­log­i­cal. With a pub­lic trans­port sub­sidy and the pos­si­bil­ity to lease a busi­ness bike at favor­able con­di­tions, IPD offers attrac­tive alter­na­tives to the car.

IP Dynam­ics is con­stantly work­ing on devel­op­ing new con­cepts and becom­ing more sus­tain­able in order to cre­ate a per­spec­tive for the future together.
