Germany is looking for the Beach Hockey Champion

IP Dynamics is proud to have supported the team “Shinbreakers” at the 12th German Beach Hockey Championship as one of six sponsors. At this annual and steadily growing event around the two courts at the Seebrücke there was something exciting for every visitor. The sporting highlights were complemented by an attractive supporting programme.

A few weeks after the end of the German Hockey League season, both hobby and national players met for the cult tournament on Timmendorf beach. True to the motto “Hockey stars up close”, the fans in the “Nice of the Baltic Sea” got to see a dozen current as well as former national and Bundesliga players, many of whom are decorated with Olympic medals or World Cup and European medals.

During the tournament it quickly became apparent that the name “Shinbreakers” could not be taken seriously literally. Even though the IP Dynamics sponsored team fought passionately for victory, fairness and fair play were always in the foreground. On Friday the “Shinbreakers” were allowed to start against the later finalist the “Kornknacker”, but without any chance. Even if the second game went much better, a defeat against the “Wildpigs” with 1:5 had to be accepted. Well rested and highly motivated a hard fought but deserved 3:2 was brought in on Saturday. The second game on Saturday unfortunately had to be interrupted due to a sudden change in the weather. On the last day at the early hour at 8:20 am, the “Shinbreakers” won the placement game with 3:1 and reached the 13th place of a total of 20 teams! Winner of the Beach-Hockey-DM 2019 became the surprising team “Griechenohneland”. “The tournament was a complete success”, says Jörg Schonhardt, head of organisation of the event.

In addition to the high-class sport under the direction of experienced Bundesliga referees, there was also a third playing field in Timmendorf’s Kurpark, where holidaymakers and guests could try out their hockey sticks. A lot of fun for young and old – all the more thanks to the wonderful ambience with sea, lots of sun and music!

We are looking forward to a unique weekend”, says “Shinbreakers” Captain Daniel Kriwet, “and thank IP Dynamics for the generous support of our team”.
