Microsoft had announced a promising event in Toronto – one packed with a multitude of new products – and our Managing Directors Christian Stölken and Bertram Göhring were there in person.
The agenda promised a variety of interesting contributions and the focus was placed from the outset on product-related news such as the general availability of Azure SQL Data Warehouse, the new Skype Operations Framework and one of the most exciting announcements: an upcoming subscription-based sales model for Windows 10 and Microsoft Surface via the CSP-Channel.
Further major topics of interest were Digital Transformation and Cloud Computing. Digital Transformation opens new oppotunities: “Opportunity means cloud,” is the phrase coined by Gavriela Schuster, Corporate Vice President Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp.. Cloud Computing changes everything: The way we work, the processes we use and the way in which we address customers. Markets are changing, customers are changing – and Microsoft and its partners are changing too.
IP Dynamics has also already recognised this opportunity and responded with its new product IPD NOW. Our Managing DirectorBertram Göhring presented IPD NOW at the WPC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLHXY-NDPg0

All in all: It was well worth taking the long journey from Hamburg to hear about Microsoft’s strategic directon first hand, to meet other partners and to sound out new opportunities for growing our own business.
