Thanks to the support of IP Dynamics, the company now operates a new contact center environment with integrated Microsoft Teams as a universal communications solution.
Founded in 1928, Andreas Schmid Group is a family-run medium-sized company based in Gersthofen, Bavaria. The company employs around 1,600 people. Previously, the company used an old telephone system and a contact center platform. Due to the end-of-life service of the system software, the company decided to find an alternative to its previous solution. IP Dynamics’ offer to replace the existing contact center with a Voxtron Communication Center (VCC) and to connect Microsoft Teams as a universal communication solution quickly convinced the logistics company.
Together, the two companies developed a detailed project plan that defined all the steps for implementation. It was important for this project that the current Contact Center was maintained in operational at all times. After IP Dynamics created the technical requirements for the smooth migration, Andreas Schmid was able to migrate the solution independently and put it into service. In addition, as part of the change process, individual employees of the company were trained by an experienced trainer from IP Dynamics, who then passed on their knowledge to their colleagues.
Since the changeover, all employees of the Andreas Schmid Group have been using Microsoft Teams as a uniform telephone solution – both for the contact center’s communication as well as all other internal and external calls. The new communication solution has made it possible to work independently of location and to flexibly organize the daily work routine. Furthermore, the company can adapt and scale the solution at any time. Christian Treml, IT project manager at Andreas Schmid Logistik AG, is impressed: “It has a great value for our colleagues to now be able to use one system for everything.”
