„Let’s Talk“ about voice dialogue systems

How do mod­ern voice dia­logue sys­tems actu­ally work and what are the chal­lenges of auto­mated com­mu­ni­ca­tion? Lars Diet­richkeit, Head of Busi­ness Devel­op­ment at inno­va­phone AG, talked with Dr Jür­gen Haas from IP Dynam­ics about these and other excit­ing ques­tions in the video pod­cast “Let’s Talk”.

The two experts describe the cur­rent state of the art and show where the jour­ney could lead in the future. Jür­gen Haas has tremen­dous expe­ri­ence in this field and explains what needs to be con­sid­ered regard­ing the prac­ti­cal imple­men­ta­tion of AI-​controlled dia­logue sys­tems. Among other things, he gives an insight into the voice por­tal project that IP Dynam­ics real­ized for Sig­nal Iduna. For more than a year, the mod­ern sys­tem has been pro­cess­ing over 5,000 calls per day at the insur­ance com­pany. This exam­ple shows that the some­times still con­tro­ver­sial tech­nol­ogy per­forms reli­ably as long as it is used sen­si­bly and imple­mented with great care.
