This is where the expertise at IP Dynamics in all its aspects comes to the fore. We optimise existing IT infrastructure and we build new ones from the ground up. We advise, we plan, we source the hardware and software, we put the whole thing into operation and then we maintain it.
First up, we analyse the status quo of your existing infrastructure and the specific needs of your business. Only then do we develop a bespoke holistic concept which is wholly independent of any supplier or product. The concept takes account of all relevant cost factors, is geared towards the long-term and represents the economically optimal solution.
When it comes to designing or redesigning a new IT infrastructure, we typically use Microsoft Windows and related products and those of Citrix, Microsoft Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, System Center and SQL server. For more efficient operations, virtual solutions from Microsoft Hyper-V or VMWare may also make economic sense, as they offer powerful infrastructures with high security against outages and high back-up availability.
Alongside the migration and integration of existing systems, our IP Dynamics full package offers network and server management, system migration and updating as well as the development of network plans. When your new IT infrastructure is finally in place, not only is it more secure and more powerful, but thanks to the reduced need for administration, it is a whole lot more economical.
Be it in the cloud or in one‘s own data centre, Citrix network solutions help to centralise infrastructure, thus paying dividends whatever the size or nature of company. Citrix supports the high availability of your network, so that your staff can access their workstations wherever they are and whatever time it might be. Equip your staff with applications and data with a level of security, reliability and speed that has been tested several thousand times. And go on, give them an amazing user experience. For example, allow work started on one device to be continued seamlessly on another, entirely different device. Alongside being extremely dependable, Citrix is also extremely secure: you are in control of access to all applications and all data, in each location and across each network and terminal. And you‘re using the only IT solution your company will need.
IT infrastructure take the form of local servers and applications or – as with Microsoft Azure – virtual IT solutions. For the IT management that translates into flexible administration along with easy management of servers, applications, services and users using intelligent administration consoles and tools – as well as additional security features to ensure compliance guidelines are observed for the particular organisation or sector. The integration of Microsoft Azure within the IT infrastructure brings about yet more benefits: cost efficiency, high availability and scalability as well as the easy set-up and management of back-ups. Windows servers and Microsoft Azure can be managed by System Center, for example, a high-performance application for managing hybrid cloud infrastructure, which enables seamless migration to virtual servers. Or with the bespoke software Operational Insights, with which administrators capture, save and analyse protocol data from almost every server. Or with Intune Device Management, with which mobile devices in particular, namely smartphones and tablets, can be easily managed within companies.
SQL databases offer more than high performance and assured availability. They boast a multitude of security features such as the observance of compliance guidelines, monitoring, row-level security, dynamic data masking and transparent data encryption. They also support back-up, with the possibility of time-based recovery of data from a given transaction for up to 35 days. A SQL database server can be operated both on-premise and directly from Microsoft in Azure. There are two possibilities here: with Microsoft Azure Database-as-a-Service you have a single, completely stand-alone and scalable SQL database, optimised for foreseeable workloads, while with Microsoft Azure Virtual Machine with SQL Server you have a SQLserver – or different database platform – offering full functionality.
Thanks to Exchange each staff member can access his or her e-mails, calender and contacts at any time, irrespective of the browser or the device. One of its great strengths is its high availability: the IT administrator can remove servers from the network for scheduled maintenance without having to switch the e-mail service offline. User administration takes place via an easy-to-use web-based administration interface, whereby Exchange draws on an existing active directory infrastructure. And even without a local Exchange infrastructure, Microsoft can host mailboxes, reducing the need for costly on-premise storage and infrastructure.
As a platform for collaboration, web content management and document management, SharePoint supports teamwork at company level, department level, team level and project level. And here again you have the option of a purely online solution or a hybrid or on-premise SharePoint version. With SharePoint Online, you use exclusively external servers from Microsoft. By contrast, in the case of the hybrid or on-premise variant, the SharePoint servers are managed by your own IT – be it in Microsoft Azure or in your infrastructure. If you choose the latter, you need you own environment for testing and developing, and nowadays this is achieved with the help of virtual servers. You just set up high-availability SharePoint servers as a combination solution in Azure, including the SharePoint recovery environment. This minimises hard– and software costs and, depending on the load on the system, you can simply scale your environment up or down, paying only for what you actually use.
System Center is the contemporary way of managing IT, whether locally, at your service provider or in the cloud. It offers consistent data centre management with integrated features such as monitoring, set up, configuring, automating, security as well as self-service. Or simply expand the System Center features further with the Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS), a cloud-inspired way of managing traditional infrastuctures and providing modern applications.
