The mountain is calling!

Our bike-crazy colleagues from various IPD branches could hardly wait to take part in this year's MTB tour across the Hochthörle. In return, some long journeys were accepted the day before in order to cover the approximately 55 km and 950 m above sea level fit and well rested.

Well equipped, it was time to go at 9:30 a.m. “Departure! ”. Accompanied by bike guide Alex from the Garmisch Alpine School, the Dynamicers cycled past the fantastic panorama of Alpspitze and Zugspitze to Grainau.

After the group had worked their way up the first climb to Lake Eibsee, everyone was able to enjoy a short break at the crystal-clear lake with a breathtaking view of the Zugspitze massif and the newly built cable car. As they progressed past the impressive railway pier, the participants were able to really let their e-bikes run at full speed, in contrast to their colleagues with 100% manual drives.

The group soon reached the picturesque Hochthörlenhütte. Everyone was able to fortify themselves here with hearty food and the odd cold hop bowl. The subsequent descent towards Ehrwald and the relaxed return trip along the Loisach was rounded off by a short stop at the Häselgehr waterfall.

As a result, even the small shower before reaching our starting point in Partenkirchen could no longer cloud the diverse impressions of the tour.
