Together on set: How a company event becomes a movie premiere
For the second IP Dynamics employee event of the year, 16 colleagues gathered in Frankfurt this September for a weekend together. The focus was on personal connection, shared experiences, and an extraordinary film project that offered a completely new experience for many.
Kicking things off in Frankfurt
The weekend began with a dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Away from projects, deadlines, and daily tasks, there was time for conversation and personal connection. At the same time, the evening served as the prelude to the following day's program. Because the next morning, it was time for: lights, camera, action!
From colleagues to film crew
For a few hours, the colleagues turned into actors. After roles were assigned and costumes selected, the two-hour film shoot began. The day was professionally supported by the service provider "The Filmevent". The team handled the camera work and took care of the video editing afterward.
Divided into two groups, two short films were created: the mafia movie "The Revenge of the Purple Rose" and the crime thriller "The False Widow." Both films focus on suspense, but the stories lead into very different worlds.
In the mafia movie, the kidnapping of a powerful mob boss's lover shakes a dangerous web of illegal business, dark secrets, and family entanglements. It quickly develops into a high-stakes game.
The crime thriller, on the other hand, strikes a quieter but no less mysterious tone. When Mrs. von Storch finds her husband dead in a ball pit, the case seems solved after a suspect is arrested. But a mysterious video suddenly raises new questions.
Film premiere on the big screen
The highlight of the day was the evening premiere of both films on the big screen. At the Astor Film Lounge, all participants were able to marvel together for the first time at the blockbusters created during the shoot. Afterward, the best lead role, best supporting role, and best film were awarded and duly celebrated at an Oscar ceremony.
The weekend in Frankfurt once again provided valuable shared experiences outside of everyday professional life. Not only were two short films created, but also new shared memories. And, as it turns out, IP Dynamics is home to some previously undiscovered acting talent.
