IT Management & Consulting – what is it anyway?
In the IT Management & Consulting program, you’ll combine technical knowledge with business acumen and consulting expertise.
You’ll explore digital technologies, data, and artificial intelligence, and learn how companies can leverage them effectively. In the process, you’ll develop the skills to analyze business processes, evaluate requirements, and help design appropriate IT solutions. This prepares you to work at the intersection of IT, business units, and management, and to drive the digital and AI-powered transformation of companies.

Your dual study program combines lecture phases at the Wedel University of Applied Sciences with practical phases at IP Dynamics. At the university, you will develop the professional and methodological foundations that you will subsequently apply within the company. Your experience from customer projects and internal tasks will, in turn, help you better contextualize your studies and understand the connections.

At IP Dynamics, you will combine technical and business expertise with consulting skills and apply them directly in customer and internal projects.
- You analyze our clients’ service processes together with our experts and gather requirements
- You develop approaches for digitalizing and optimizing these processes
- You learn how Dynamic Workload intelligently manages workflows, automates customer dialogues with AI, and supports employees in their tasks
- You assist our consultants in evaluating and communicating suitable solutions
- You gain experience in the planning, coordination, and evaluation of customer projects
- By analyzing project and process data, you identify potential for automation and the use of AI
- You contribute your own ideas internally and further develop methods, procedures, and processes

Häufige Fragen zum dualen Studium
You alternate between lecture phases at FH Wedel and practical phases at IP Dynamics. You spend the sixth semester entirely at the company, and in the seventh semester you write your bachelor’s thesis.
You complete the dual study program with a Bachelor of Science degree.
From the fifth semester onwards, you specialize in Software Design (e.g. algorithms, data structures, software quality), Data Science & AI (e.g. data analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning), or Sustainability-Oriented Accounting and Auditing (sustainability-oriented reporting and auditing).
Together with our experts, you analyze our clients’ service processes, support our consultants, and learn how Dynamic Workload manages workflows and automates customer dialogues with AI.
Career paths include IT management, management consulting, process and project management, as well as technical and data-driven fields.
