In the 2025 MOPO relay race, our team not only showed sporting stamina, but also real team spirit. With two seasons, lots of energy and an extra dose of summer atmosphere, we were right in the middle of the action.

Brilliant sunshine, party atmosphere and full meadows: The traditional MOPO relay race started on August 27. For this, Hamburg's Stadtpark was once again transformed into a big stage for top sporting performance, team spirit and a lively atmosphere. 2,000 seasons and a total of 10,000 sports enthusiasts had signed up — and we were right in the middle of it.

Two teams, one motivation and a summery atmosphere

With equal two teams of five runners We went to the start. Everyone completed a 5-kilometer lap through the park — past Stadtparksee, the Goldbek Canal, Love Island and the large festival ground — before the baton passed on to the next team member. And the result is impressive: With 2:14:26 and 2:15:06, both teams showed a remarkable performance and ended up in 302 and 321.

But the run was only part of the experience: As soon as you arrived at the city park, you could feel the special energy. Brilliant sunshine, full meadows, cheering spectators along the way. A drum group further fuelled the atmosphere. Loud music from the speakers and the professional presentation created a real competition atmosphere. In addition, the organizer provided picnic baskets for food and many teams converted their tents into small festival grounds. Some with their own catering or even a grill station. As a result, the MOPO relay race was not just a sporting highlight, but a summer team event in the countryside.

Team building away from work

For us as a company, participation was also an opportunity to strengthen our team spirit. In everyday working life, we are used to working together on solutions, sharing responsibility and supporting each other. On the running track, it became apparent once again that it was precisely these qualities that make us successful there too. In the end, it is not individual performance that counts, but the team result.

At the same time, the day was a great opportunity to talk away from the desks, laugh together and cheer each other on. These moments are particularly important when it comes to bringing a team together.

An event that connects

Every year, the MOPO relay race brings together thousands of people from a wide range of sectors: from small businesses to large companies. For us, it is a great signal to be here together and to show: We are not only engaged in our work, but also active and energetic as a community.

After crossing the finish line, it was clear that the participation was worthwhile — sportively, but above all humanly. A sunny, sporting day came to an end with a good mood, lots of conversations and a strong sense of community.

We are already looking forward to the next MOPO relay race — and to competing together again next year.
