The IPD Sovereign Cloud pursues a full-stack approach, where dynamic workloads are operated without proprietary infrastructure while maintaining auditable control over sensitive data.
The use of locally operated AI is important because sensitive data, such as claims documents, contract information, payment data, or conversation content, must be protected in compliance with GDPR. If external AI services are connected, this also creates another relevant third-party relationship under DORA, which in turn comes with new obligations. The IPD Sovereign Cloud integrates various AI models locally and in an isolated manner. This allows AI automations for customer service to be easily used, while data storage, model operation, and control mechanisms remain within an independent, German cloud environment.
