Conversion, new construction, expansion — often the initial entrepreneurial spark to adapt the IT and telephony infrastructure to market conditions. Accordingly, Rossmann also decided in Burgwedel in Lower Saxony.

600 employees and IP technology were to move into the 10,000-square-meter new Rossmann headquarters building, which meant preparing and setting up a strategic migration process from the “old” (digital) to the “new” IP world.

IP Dynamics is at home in this profession and impressed the responsible project managers Karsten Hanneke and Daniel Luttermann. “We were dealing with a team that understood our concerns and was able to put themselves in our shoes”, according to technical project manager Luttermann. With the aim of being able to handle day-to-day business 100% independently, the IT specialists from Rossmann and IP Dynamics carried out configuration work together, prepared training courses and handouts. Over two weekends and stages, a total of 700 participants were moved — 600 in the new building, but of course also those remaining in the original building.

Hanneke describes the well-prepared change as “almost perfect” and is positively surprised that the project was well ahead of the target. “Our expectations were met”, explain the people of Burgwedel in unison. For this reason, it is not surprising that the Bergkirchen and Cologne warehouse sites have already been successively equipped with IP solutions as a follow-up project.
