“Everyone pulls together”

As a long-time employee, Nicolai Münzmay has already experienced a lot. A lot of it right here with us. Read the exciting answers to our questions here.
What was your career so far?
Back then, I completed my technical training as a communications electronics technician at AVAYA. Over the time, I have supervised various major projects there and thus developed into sales. In 2011, I became the first PreSales employee to join IPD. Over the years, I have taken on more and more tasks, including leading the PreSales department from 2017 to 2020. Since its dissolution in 2020, I have been responsible for various special tasks.
How did you find out about IP Dynamics?
An employee from IPD sales contacted me at AVAYA back then. I found it interesting to start with a company that values customer focus more than internal forecasting.
What does your area of responsibility look like?
I primarily support our account managers, but in recent years I have also increasingly taken on responsibility for some customers myself. My tasks include advising, recording customer requirements and then, in consultation with account managers, preparing offers and presenting the solutions to customers. In addition, I support a number of special tasks, such as certifying our solutions at Microsoft or tasks from our Product Board. In phases, there are always smaller or larger tasks that are important for the company or especially for sales.
What has been your biggest challenge with IPD so far and how did you overcome it?
In the beginning, I had to create my work environment. Back then, IPD did not yet have a uniform procedure for calculating offers. So I had to create appropriate tools first. Since I was given the freedom to choose the procedure, I have created a constantly refined calculation tool over the years, which is now used to calculate prices for offers very quickly and easily.
How do you like the corporate culture?
Sometimes things get a bit hectic. That's why it's good that everyone pulls together when it matters. You can rely not only on management, but also on colleagues. Requirements are not made down to the smallest detail. This gives room for freedom of design. This also makes it possible to incorporate and try out your own ideas.
What makes IP Dynamics unique for you as an employer?
The great flexibility and the varied tasks. It would be very boring for me to do the same thing every day.
Thank you for the exciting insight!
