On the boards. It's done. Let's go!

On the weekend of September 14 to 15, 2019, our colleagues willing to surf came together on Germany's third-largest island of Fehmarn to get on the windsurfing boards in the hope of windy weather. The majority of the group arrived the evening before Saturday so that they could get started right away the next morning.

Unfortunately, the weather conditions for windsurfing were not always as optimal as had been hoped and so the colleagues had to cope with winds of up to 40 km/h, some with too weak winds and sometimes too strong. Nevertheless, on both days of the sporting weekend, several hours were spent on the water - or, depending on the level of experience - in the water.

Our surfing weekend should offer both our windsurfing professionals and our bloody beginners the opportunity to come together on a beach and live out or rediscover their passion.

While advanced surfers were able to start surfing on their own, the highly motivated newbies had the opportunity to take part in a windsurfing course and even complete it with a surfing license if desired. Thanks to the competent surf instructor, our debutants were also able to check the surfboard after a few hours. And that's when the fun really starts.

On Saturday evening, the sporty colleagues swapped their wetsuits for comfortable everyday clothes and enjoyed a well-deserved dinner together. Completely without physical activity! That's how a round and great weekend came to an end. We're looking forward to next year when it's time again: On the boards. It's done. Let's go!
